(SportsNetwork. China Jerseys .com) - The suddenly red-hot Buffalo Sabres will try to pull off another improbable home-and-home sweep when they visit the Tampa Bay Lightning for Thursdays battle at Amalie Arena. A victory tonight would give the Sabres a second straight home-and-home sweep, both against the Atlantic Divisions top two teams. Buffalo beat Montreal last Friday and Saturday before taking the opener of this home-and-home Tuesday in Western New York. The Lightning entered the game in Buffalo on a four-game win streak and with a one-point lead over Montreal for first place. The Bolts expected to make it five straight victories on Tuesday against the Sabres, who came into the opener 18 points behind Tampa in the division standings. Instead, the Sabres picked up a 2-1 shootout victory to push their winning streak to three games. Buffalo has now won six of its last seven contests after beginning 2014-15 with a dreadful 3-13-2 mark. Jhonas Enroth loomed large for the Sabres against Tampa, stopping 26 shots in regulation and overtime before turning aside both shootout chances. Enroth has won each of Buffalos last three games and is now 4-0-1 with a 1.56 goals against average in five lifetime appearances against the Lightning. Our guys played really well in front of me, Enroth said. They didnt have too many scoring chances. Enroth was busiest in the second period, when Tampa outshot the Sabres by a 16-4 margin. Buffalo, however, held the Bolts to nine shots the rest of the way. Zemgus Girgensons tallied in regulation for the Sabres, knotting the score at 1-1 with 3:54 left. Cody Hodgson and Tyler Ennis then scored in the shootout for Buffalo. Ondrej Palat lit the lamp for Tampa over six minutes before Girgensons goal. Evgeni Nabokov made 21 saves for the Lightning, who couldnt maintain momentum from a 6-3 road win over the New York Rangers on Monday. Hodgson began the final portion of the contest by beating Nabokov on the backhand, then Palat was turned away by Enroth. Ennis effectively put the game out of reach with his successful shot, and Ryan Callahan failed on his try to send the hosts to victory. Hes a good goaltender, Lightning center Tyler Johnson said of Enroth. He made some good saves. The Sabres improved to 4-1 in shootouts, while Tampa Bay fell to 1-3. It was Buffalos second win in the last three overall meetings with the Lightning. The Sabres have claimed three of the past five encounters in Central Florida. Buffalos Drew Stafford is questionable for tonight after missing the last two games with a lower-body injury. The forward is third on the Sabres with 12 points on four goals and eight assists. Tampa will return to No. 1 goaltender Ben Bishop tonight. He is 15-3-2 on the season and boasts a 4-0-1 record and 2.31 GAA in five career games against the Sabres. Nike China Jerseys . His apology came before a pregame ceremony in which the team honoured its 2004 team that won Bostons first World Series championship since 1918. "I realize that I behaved bad in Boston," Ramirez said. Cheap Jerseys . Bobrovsky posted a 2-0-1 record with a 1.58 goals-against average and .950 save percentage to help the Blue Jackets (35-26-6) gain five of a possible six points last week. He capped the week by making 32 saves and stopping 2-of-4 shootout attempts in a 2-1 win over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday.Staring down a six-game stretch heading into the Olympic break, the Maple Leafs gathered as a group and discussed the importance of yielding as many points as possible out of a pair of match-ups with the Panthers and Lightning as well as games against the Senators and Canucks. Already with four wins out of five, a victory on Saturday night against Vancouver would make it mission accomplished. "We want to end this part of the year off on a winning note," said Dion Phaneuf after the team took part in an off-ice workout on Friday. "We talked about it two weeks ago, how we wanted to get as many points as possible to set ourselves up going into the break in a good position." Despite the Leafs rolling to a 10-2-1 record in their last 13 games, a playoff position is still far from secured though. On Jan. 12, the day they beat the Devils 3-2 in a shootout to begin this impressive stretch, the Leafs sat two points out of a Wild Card spot. As of Feb. 7, they sit with a five-point Wild Card cushion and have gained ten points on the Montreal Canadiens to draw even at 68 points. Though still with 23 games remaining, Toronto is nowhere close to a position where they can ease up on their effort. "I dont think any team wants to give away any points," said Carl Gunnarsson. "Were in kind of a tight spot too. We really need the points." So too do the Canucks who have struggled mightily of late, losing six straight games and posting a dismal 4-12-2 record since the turn of the calendar to see their six-point Wild Card cushion evaporate to just one. That doesnt, however, mean the Leafs are taking anything for granted. "When youre playing a team that hasnt had as much success as theyd like, theyre going to want to end their pre-Olympic break on thee right note," Phaneuf said. China Jerseys 2022. "Were expecting a push out of them." How hard the Canucks can push though is the question, since they are missing Henrik Sedin, Kevin Bieksa, Dan Hamhuis, Chris Tanev, Andrew Alberts, Mike Santorelli and Yannick Weber to various injuries and ailments. "Quite honestly, Ive never been through so many injuries at one time in all the years that Ive coached," said head coach John Tortorella after putting his team through practice at the MasterCard Center on Friday. "I dont want to paint this as Woe is me and were getting all the bad breaks, we have to find a way to get out of it. I think we have in the past three games regained our structure and hopefully itll get things going our way tomorrow." Outscored 23-10 during their six-game skid, an inspired performance from both Daniel Sedin and Roberto Luongo would be most welcomed by the Canucks. Sedin has not scored in 2014 and has just five assists in the 18 games he has played since the turn of the calendar. Luongo meanwhile has lost his last four starts, posting an ugly 3.50 GAA and .881 save percentage. With their playoff cushion all but evaporated, the Canucks no longer have time to slowly work their way out of this slump. They need points, and fast. "I think a win is the top priority," Luongo insisted. "I dont want to sit here and make excuses, injuries are part of every team in the NHL, and everybody goes through it. You still have to find a way to accumulate points. That being said, were missing a lot of guys but sometimes its little things and then all of a sudden it snowballs into bigger things and next thing you know, you dont realize it but youre in a six-game losing streak."
