J-E-T-S Jets! Jets! Jets!

It is true that the New York Jets are hardly the only team to spell out their name with a chant. Half of the Big Ten has its own spin on this very same concept. But, the Jets fans cannot be separated in the same way as the image depicted of Fireman Ed who sparked the cheers of the entire stadium. Though he no longer performs during events, the chant will live on.

These days I call Southern California my home. While it's true that the Los Angeles market has been without a Madden NFL 24 team in the last nearly two decades, residents believe that a team is likely to arrive at their doorstep in the near future. The majority of them are happy to welcome any franchise with welcoming arms. The one team for which some hold reservation are the Oakland Raiders. Why? Because the Raiders possess the scariest fans in Madden NFL 24. The fans are dressed in big, snazzy spiked attire and sporting faces painted with black and silver The fans instill intimidation in their opponents when the players on the field do not.

Week 16 was not a banner weekend on the part of Madden NFL 24 officials. There were the standard bad helmet-to-helmet calls (Panthers cornerback Josh Norman's strike to Browns receiver Andrew Hawkins on the first play in the second quarter the game). There were some questionable inbounds/out off bounds penalties (Vikings tight-end Rhett Ellison's touchdown/not touchdown right prior to halftime could be an actual touchdown). It had shaky unnecessary roughness calls for tackles close to the sideline (seriously, Vikings linebacker Gerald Hodges made contact with Dolphins rookie receiver Jarvis Landry decidedly in bounds but was penalized after taking him on the floor). The game also featured a quarterback error that was considered to be an incomplete pass without review (Big Ben's hands were empty as hell against the Chiefs).

There was however one call that was so outrageous that I'm sure the referee who called it should not be allowed to play in any playoff game. The call in question is the ridiculous taunting penalty called against Steelers cornerback William Gay after a particularly remarkable, not-so-spectacular performance made by Steelers middle linebacker Lawrence Timmons on third down.

Imagine this, the Steelers were down 17-6 in a must win game that had 12:39 to go on the clock in the final quarter. The opponent, the Chiefs faced a third-and-17 from their own 23-yard line. The Steelers were, naturally, had a tough time playing off the receivers, shielding everything deep and forcing Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith to dump the ball off short towards tight-end Travis Kelce. Timmons was all the way across the formation when he was in coverage but he was hauled in and made an one-on-1 tackle in the field in the open for a gain of of just two yards. It could have been an ordinary play, but it was highly unlikely that Kelce would gain enough yards to earn the first down. If you really think about the play, you need to recognize how quickly Timmons was running , and also to be able to gather himself and then make a certain tackle. It's the opposite of routine or easy.

As I can know, one of these idiots decided to throw the flag because he thought Gay was taunting one of the Chiefs player, when there wasn't a single player in the vicinity. Mut 24 coins It was all because Gay was standing there in a cross-legged position. Dassit. They all refused to glance over at Jumbotron to discover just what a ridiculous call they were going to make.

The Steelers had fought their ass off to take the Chiefs into a punt, however, because of an unconstitutional and inconsistent law that allows referees make calls that they didn't observe, and one that does not allow for a review in order to keep refs honest as well, the Steelers defense was forced back onto the field, while the Chiefs continued their drive. They were still able to limit the Chiefs to the field goal, but what if this hadn't been the case? What is the possibility that the Chiefs had marched down the field after that stupid incident and got madden 24 coins for sale a touchdown which gave them the momentum they needed to fight back and eventually beat the Chiefs?
